In summer, fruits such as apricots, strawberries, raspberries etc. are harvested and processed into jams and fruit spreads for our guests all year round.
We harvest the fruit, wash it thoroughly, boil it with sugar and fill it into jars. Brigitte then serves the delicious jam to our guests in a breakfast basket. What could be better than a delicious loaf of bread with homemade jam?
The recipe to follow:
- 1300g fruit such as raspberries, strawberries, apricots etc.
- 500g sugar
- 20g apple pectin (vegetable gelling agent)
- Juice of half a lemon
Mix the ingredients and cook at 100 degrees for approx. 12 minutes. At the end of the cooking time, puree everything and seal airtight in clean jars. Leave to cool and enjoy.
